On 23 April, 2024, the US Federal Trade Commission banned non-compete clauses most all US employment contracts, to become effective on 4 September, 2024.

Many have opined that the law will be struck down as unconstitutional. More information on the status is expected by 30 August. Be ready to respond if the ban goes ahead.
