APSCo’s specialist knowledge of the distinct challenges of the professional staffing sector and close working relationship with key Government departments means that it is uniquely placed to represent its members’ interests as Government consults before introducing new legislation.

Previous APSCo campaigns have helped improve the final drafts of recent bills, guidance, and pre-legislative agendas including IR35, the Agency Workers Regulations, the Conduct Regulations, intermediaries tax legislation, the off-payroll rules in the public and private sectors and the introduction of digital right to work checks.

APSCo’s approach is to consult widely with our membership to agree messages that we then represent to Government ministers, EU representatives, journalists, and opinion formers. Our robust approach and large membership ensure that APSCo’s views are pro-actively sought by those framing new policy. APSCo responds on behalf of its membership to all relevant Government consultation and engagement processes.
