Santander hosts APSCo's IT Sector meeting in Manchester

We held the APSCo IT Sector event in the Pavilion at the top of Windmill Green Manchester with a scenic view of the central Manchester landscape. The opening speech was given by Ben Broughton, Director, Primis and Adam Wooldridge, Regional Director, Volt a review of the current IT Recruitment Sector market and The Opportunities and Challenges for the remainder of 2023.

Steve Carter from Workllama discussed AI and its benefits in Recruitment process and the fact that companies need to embrace AI to improve their work processes and save time.

Daniel Fox, Marketing Manager from Mercury on integrating technology to improve your recruitment business he covered CRM and system integration – getting it right.

Pete Watson from Atlas Cloud gave an in-depth review of Cyber Security and gave some examples of when recruitment companies did not follow the basics in cyber security. The consequences of not having a robust cyber security review and system in place, which in some cases led to failure of the business due to lack of confidence from clients when breached.

Following the presentations there was the panel discussion which was an open Q&A Session with the guest speakers. Again, very thought provoking and tailored to the sector. Some excellent questions and again an informative discussion.

Overall, a really good forum and well attended by a number of external recruitment companies which was hosted by Santander. The more we can understand Recruitment businesses and the specific sector they specialise in the better we can work with clients in it.
