Our ED&I Hub for members has a wealth of guidance and resources to help and support recruitment firms with their ED&I initiatives. Whether you are looking for advice on formulating a strategy or need some resources or research to add value to your end clients, the hub is a one-stop resource for everything you need and is updated regularly. The hub is divided into sections which cover:
- Policy & Guidance: Resources covering how to build a strategy, a useful glossary of terms as well as guides on how to collect data and flexible working policies.
- Recruitment Best Practice: Guidance on creating an inclusive environment, removing gender bias for job advertisements, tackling unconscious bias and what skills are needed to find diverse talent.
- Support for Leaders: Guidance on measuring inclusive leadership and improving board diversity.
- Accessibility: Resources covering digital inclusion, web content accessibility guidelines and top tips for accessible recruitment.
- Marketing & Comms: Awareness day calendars as well as guidance on diverse recruitment marketing and making comms more representative.
- Protected characteristics: The hub has a section on each of the protected characteristics: Age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage & civil partnership, pregnancy & maternity, race, religion or belief, gender and sexual orientation. Resources cover discrimination and the Equality Act as well as best practice guides.
- LGBTQIA+: Resources include a glossary of terms, myth-busting guides, case studies of lived experiences and a range of research reports from YouGov and Stonewall.
- Mental Wellbeing: This section includes an online learning programme for the workplace, guidance on how to support mental health at work and taking care of your staff.
- Neurodiversity: Resources to help attract neurodiverse talent and best practice guides to dealing with neurodiversity in the workplace.
- Social Mobility: Guidance on the Kickstart Scheme; tips on how to recruit for social mobility and an employer’s guide to social mobility in the workplace.
- Multi-Media Resources: A wealth of multimedia content including blogs, webinars and podcasts covering the whole ED&I arena.
- Have Your Say: APSCo and the REC are collaborating on a project to better understand the level of diversity within the UK recruitment sector. Both the Corporate and the Individual Surveys are now closed.
